On Saturday, May 3rd from 1pm-3pm at Fisherman’s Village, local Girl Scouts are teaming up with The Yah Yah Girls to host a fun modeling show and activities in order to raise awareness and collect needed items for Charlotte County’s BackPack Kidz program. Girl Scouts will be taking the stage in themed outfits which will help build self-confidence and self-esteem. Girl Scout troops will have a friendly competition in this fashion show for best themed representation, creativity, and personality. Girl Scouts will earn a Girl Scout badge.
The public is invited to come check out the event and support the initiative by bringing a donation of (individual size) apple sauce, cereal bars, cereal boxes, cheese sticks, or something similar. A more extensive list can be found at www.theyahyahgirls.com. The BackPack Kidz program supports over 1,500 back packs weekly and the need continues to grow in Charlotte County.
