Trader Jacks is the newest addition to the Fishermen’s Village family, but its owners are not. JJ’s Top End T-shirt shop opened at the Village in 1989, several years later in 2005, Island Fever premiered at the Village. Trader Jack’s is the third edition to the line of lounge Floridian wear. All three shops are still in Fishermen’s Village.
Trader Jacks is in the third section of the Village and caters to all Floridians. They offer a selection of lounge and fishermen clothing. Familiar clothing lines like Salt Life and Toms are displayed throughout the store. Trader Jacks hand selects special brands like Toms shoes. For each pair of Toms shoes purchased, a needy child receives a pair of shoes. Other shoe brands like Sanuk offer a shoe with the comfort of a sandal bottom and the protection of a covering. Trader Jacks’ assortment of apparel is multi-cultural. Hats from Bali, Nepal, and India hang throughout the store along with pashminas from Pershia laying upon the tables.
Trader Jacks recently held their Grand Opening last week, offering food and beverages and live music to their customers. They have now been open for 4 weeks and hopefully will continue to open their doors for years to come.
