Worden Farm is an 85-acre certified organic family farm in Southwest Florida. It’s founders Chris and Eva Worden still activly run the farm today. The farm directly sells its organic produce to the local community during season at farmer’s markets and other parts of the community. This January, Worden Farm’s Greenmarket returns to Fishermen’s Village every Wednesday from 10am-2pm in Center Court. All produce of Worden Farm is certified organic. What is organic produce? It just means that the fruits and vegetables are grown without conventional pesticides or synthetic fertilizers.The farm produces over 50 different varieties of vegetables, fruits, herbs, and flowers.
The farm is community-oriented, with a full seasonal calendar of events, including tours, workshops, and farm feasts. They service all of South West Florida through Farmer’s Markets, any city from St. Pete to Naples. Worden Farm is nationally recognized, from shows like The NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams, America’s Heartland on PBS, American Farmer, and Florida Grower.
Don’t miss Worden Farm’s Greenmarket return to Fishermen’s Village on January 5th, 10 am-2 pm Center Court. Locals can pick up organic fruits, vegetables, and flowers from Worden Farm, Seafood from Peace River Seafood, get some tips from Culinary Cooking Demos by Charlotte Technical Center’s Chef Ozborne, and listen to live music by Singer/Guitarist Michael Hirst.
