This weekend is the weekend every student dreads, the last official taste of summer. Beaches will be packed with government workers on their day off and kids enjoying their last weekend of summer. Instead of wedging yourself between two strangers on the beach for a tanning spot, come to Fishermen’s Village to celebrate. Harpoon Harry’s, one Fishermen’s Village’s most well-known restaurants, is celebrating the American worker with their annual Labor Day Weekend Party.
The weekend begins on Friday, with music from the Boogie Men, Punta Gorda’s most venerated band, from 9pm-12:30am. Harpoon Harry’s offers a beautiful view of the harbor while munching on a burger and fries and a cold beer. Can you imagine a better way to kick off your Labor Day weekend?! From 1pm-5pm on Sunday there will be live music by John Vanador. The previous evening Fishermen’s Village hosts the Yard Dogs in Center Court. They will be performing their Florida Cajun style music from 5-9pm.
September 6th is the big day, the Labor Day Luau! The Labor Day Party at Harpoon Harry’s will host a Hogg Roast, Corn Hole Game, Hula Hoop Contest, Trivia, Kids Games, and Live music by The Crashers, 1-5pm. While enjoying your last day of summer, stop by some of the boutiques at Fishermen’s Village and get in some last-minute shopping. Each boutique in Fishermen’s Village is extremely unique. Dare to be one of a kind! Make the most of your farewell summer weekend, and spend it with Fishermen’s Village! 🙂
