Come all ye mates n wenches to Fishermen’s Village’s 2nd annual Pirate’s Day, Saturday September 11th! Festivities kick off at 11am starting with registration for the Pirate Flotilla “Pillage the Village” at Fishermen’s Village. Bring your ship and water weapons and prepare for the pirate invasion. To get in the spirit of things, the Pirate’s Parade starts the event at 11am, get ready to catch some beads from Punta Gorda’s famous conquistadors! Following are tours aboard the Ponce De Leon Conquistador ship! At noon, the Flotilla invasion takes place! Gather your crew and ships and prepare to “Pillage the Village” in Charlotte Harbor with your fellow pirates! Prizes will be rewarded to the most decorative, most lively, and smallest boat in the harbor. Throughout the day, family activities will take place in The Village. There will be a children’s costume contest, theatrical events from “Bitter End Krewe”, and a treasure hunt from noon-5pm! As the day heads into the evening live music by “Soul Train” will be in Center Court from 5-9pm. For the adults, Harpoon Harry’s will have belly dancers and an adult costume contest at the Pirate’s Ball.
